Pretty good list of winners!

I'm only disappointed that Bob Nelson didn't win for Best Original Screenplay for Nebraska. He used to be on a local TV show here in Seattle called Almost Live! I haven't met him but my Hubby has, which makes me one degree from Bob!

Bob did win an Independent Spirit award on Saturday, though. He won for Best First Screenplay. That was pretty cool :)

Yes, it was. I'm hoping to see Blue Jasmine when it hits the satellite dish.
Same here. I had hoped to see more of these movies, but where I live, they come and go so fast. I have to go to movies by myself and feel safer staying in familiar territory. I could have gone "to the big city" to see them, but not as comfortable doing that.

Not long ago, in "the big city" they played the Wizard of Oz on a big screen to give people the chance to see it. I wanted to go
When I was in school, I got to see The Wizard of Oz in our little theater. It was the 50th anniversary of both the movie and the theater's opening and The Wizard of Oz was the first movie shown there. They did a big remodel/update to the theater and showed the movie for a week at their big grand reopening. It was really fun to see it on the big screen!
