Me! I really like the opening ceremonies. I enjoy seeing the athletes march in the stadium.
The Australian swim coach refused to let his swimmers practice in the main games training pool due to fears of infection.

One of my very first friends (became friends at about 3) has a daughter who is expected to represent Canada in four years. I'm glad she is not competing this year. She competes in a pool, but apparently even they aren't looking to goo.
I was trying. I'm not enjoying it though. Did I miss the Festival dancers? I really expected that, not what was going on, so I gave up. I want to see the Samba. Maybe that's boring stuff for them, they do it every year before Lent. But I've never seen it live. Drat. I'm going to watch Stranger Things in a few.
I was enjoying the indigenous dancing. What I love about the opening ceremonies is the way a country presents it's own history. The way they showed slavery took my breath away. And the Europeans in the boats.
But then.....it became very political. I wonder if the IOC speeches will mention it. The games are not supposed to be about politics.

Oh, and I am NOT impressed with TSN's coverage. I hope they cover the actual games better.

I watched episodes of Leave It to Beaver instead of the opening ceromonies. This is the first time in many years that I have no interest in the Summer Olympics.
I watched the opening. It wasn't bad. Much better than I expected.
I don't believe the cyclists do drugs. When I used to do drugs, I couldn't ride 100 feet without falling off.
This sounds horrific! Anyone see this on TV when it happened?

OKay guys, this is really rough. Horrible video of leg break.
I think that might be a career breaker.
I always watch gymnastics and I don't ever remember seeing anything this devastating.
