I can't watch this on a GOOD day without crying.the hardest, most tear jerking moment, when Spock sacrificed himself for the Enterprise, and her crew, and says goodbye to Kirk...we say goodbye to you now,Leonard, thank you for the memories..
Completely irrelevant factoid: The head hippie in this episode is the officer whose guts got strung up by Hannibal Lechter in Silence of the Lambs. One of my favorite episodes. Are you one, or are you a Herbert?

And also, thank you for this Nimoy. Hilariously awesome!!!
First and foremost, he will always be Spock to me. I've always adored him. But Mr. Nimoy was also the narrator of Civilization IV. For those of you who played, you'll recall how wonderful his voice was as he supplied interesting quotes throughout the game. I enjoyed watching his guest appearances on Fringe, too. I will miss him.
An English prof of mine at University of Alberta was the biggest fan of Star Trek that I ever knew. He missed classes the day Gene Roddenberry died. He must be mad with grief this day. I doubt if he taught classes.
