I'm overjoyed today for my sister Sarah and her husband Tony, because they are adopting these two little girls! The girls are named Anna and Nia, age 5 1/2 and 3 1/2, and they have beautiful smiles so they'll fit right in with their new parents! The adoption becomes finalized in April. Welcome to the family, little ones!
Congratulations for the new family members !! They are beautiful girls ...

Just happy to be alive today after the other night in traffic: I was on the highway less than a mile from my exit, traffic was going about 60 miles per hour and suddenly I saw these big metal shelving units flying about 20 feet up into the air and come crashing down onto the road about 500 feet in front of me. It looked like it was happening in slow motion, like a special effect in a movie. It took me a second to figure out what the heck was happening. A strap had broken on the back of a truck and a few of those industrial metal shelves (about 7 feet tall) caught the wind and just shot straight up out of the truck. If I had left only a few seconds earlier they could have crashed through my windshield and killed me. A couple cars dodged around them but it looked like no one got hit, somewhat miraculous during rush hour.

Thank goodness everyone is okay! I agree with Spidey, your guardian angel was on full alert. Hope today's commute is a better and safer one for you.

I am happy today because because I paid off the car loan today and now the Ford Focus is officially mine.
Also happy that I got this one day off. Sun is shining outside and hopefully spring is on the way.

Thankful you Fush and all other are safe and OK. That sounded pretty scary.

@Agincourt Concierge - Congrats, hope you two get the house.

Great new avatar, Johanna! Congratulations on getting that loan paid off!

Cool Jo! I had a Focus and put 400,000 kms on it.
Lucky you with the spring weather. Usually it's the opposite between Finland and Canada.
