We had a trainer for football that said it was a good idea to swig some or eat pickles on hot days during summer two a day practices,to retain water..not uncommon to lose five or ten pounds of sweat during heavy practice days..I like to drink the dill pickle juice from the jar.
I don't think I've ever seen a Challenger I didn't like sir. My dream one is a 1970 model with 440 magnum engine package but I like all models of the Challenger. I like the Chargers also but the Challenger is my favorite muscle car of all time.
It'd be a shame to have to blow your small foreign sports car off the road with my Dodge Challenger Danie....Now, I KNOW you didn't just tag me, asking if I like an American car??? An ugly muscle car???? That I see at least 10 of in a 15-minute drive???? Doc, for shame. I really thought you knew me better than that. Let's review:
1) Don't like American cars
2) Don't like muscle cars
3) Don't like cars that everybody likes/wants/owns
4)
You have the most bad ass human on the planet for your avatar, you must have confidence sir. Chuck's beard says so, so let it be so.YOu must deal with people who are upset seeing you're in the health care sector. I couldn't handle being a paramedic/nurse in some of those trauma things on the roads and stuff. I've learnt to be more assertive since I started coming on SKMB. It has given me more confidence.
Yum! And I like to dunk saltine crackers in it like you would do with cookies and milkI like to drink the dill pickle juice from the jar.
The internet without flamewars?! No! I won't listen!
I was wondering what that smell was!Lol...I really stepped in it. Brain fart.
The only ones I have had to deal with are a few nurses who acted like they had PMS (don't mean you GNTLGNTYOu must deal with people who are upset seeing you're in the health care sector. Yes - tome is somewhat pretentious; The words 'works' and 'tome' when it comes to books/stories sound pretentious to me.

In this new job I deliver medications and something called TPN, pick up outgoing lab samples and take them to the dumbwaiter where they go to Pathology, Chemistry, Microbiology or Blood Lab/Blood Bank or else to Cadham Labs. We also deliver medical charts, most often to Women's Labour floor where there are women in triage.
I really don't have any hands-on patient contact but occasionally will don a mask as some of those wards can be rather on the smelly side now and then - It's natural I guess for those folks who may be very sick and confined to bed.
I'm very happy that you have become more assertive since you started on SKMB - you seem like an intelligent guy!
Those are beautiful!Yes - tome is somewhat pretentious;
Went looking and did find some nice "tomes":
The second and third are illustrations - one is from 1906
It has been projected that by the year 2030 landline telephones will be gone. Does anyone miss hearing the dial tone before placing a call? I miss hearing it because it assured me that my call had ended. Now, with cell phones, there can be that nagging feeling that the person I was talking to can still hear me. Ever picked up to be sure? "You there?"
(Currently I'm without a phone.)
Nice car..but I will take the '67 GTO Judge with the black cherry paint and black top..I don't think I've ever seen a Challenger I didn't like sir. I feel for you 100%.I have always had a landline and want one forever! But 2 weeks ago my daughters bought me a cell phone,
a Sony experia, and I am having one hell of a time learning how to use it. I tried to make a call last night
and nothing happened. I pressed the number in my contact list and listened and no dial tone, no one
answering, nothing. So it's back on the desk until I figure out how to make a call. Pretty pathetic huh
(I checked the volume and it is on)
I use 'works' all the time, speaking of King's body of work, in the same way I'd speak about Beethoven's works. (Classical music: opus=work). The words 'works' and 'tome' when it comes to books/stories sound pretentious to me.
