LOL No I won't. That's why I stated earlier the property would be planted with Centipedegrass. It only grows to about 4" so no mowing is necessary. I cover all the bases with my dream home. You're gonna need a bigger mower
I live in a nice house where family and friends like to come over, and there's room for them. I share it with my life mate. So I think I already have my dream home.
Ohhhhh, I see. We're talking FANTASY. Well....
Turn-around drive. I don't need a lot of cars, but it would be nice to have an attached garage. Let's say attached via tunnel.
Acreage in back to include a stream and rocks. Something to hike in. Let's toss in a place to motorcycle or run ATVs in too.
Yes, wraparound porch that is so the rage in this pages. My great-aunt had a big wraparound porch on her house. I loved it. In back, add a closed-in porch with doors to open all around. We have that now. I love it. What a pleasant place to sit and eat in nice weather.
As for the house itself.
Solar house and water heating because I don't want to be a drain on resources. Other renewable energy sources as I learn about them. I know people have done energy-positive houses.
Inside the house, radiant heat. Clever lighting that doesn't seem to have a particular point source.
Very little carpet. Let's go with wood, rustic tile, marble, throw rugs. Sound baffling with the walls, because with the lack of carpet, sound will reverberate.
A dining room where the table is pulled up from the wood floor. Flaps then fill the floor gaps. Once the table is pulled up, semicircle drawers are pulled out of the table sides. They contain dishes, utensils, and linens.
Gas range with grill. Big range. Movable island in the kitchen.
Guest rooms have Murphy beds. Plush Murphy beds.
The rooms are standard sized rooms. I don't like cavernous spaces in a house. Open, wide, yes. Not cavernous.
I'm with cat on making it largely underground - maybe. It's conflicting with wanting plenty of sunlight. But having a normal-sized-looking house that goes on forever when you walk in sounds pretty cool.
One hidden room. Grandpa's private sanctum sanctorum. Is a private staircase to it too much to ask? Nawww... this is my fantasy home. Grandma can have one, too, if she wants, but I don't think she would.
Screaming fast wifi, with guest network, of course.
A large-ish part of the basement is set up like a pub, complete with stocked bar. I'm not sold on a pool table yet, but if the demand is there... but it can't gack up the socializing area.
Back stairway is a spiral** staircase, but with a fire pole in the middle to slide down.
Big tunnels-n-swings-n-stuff complex out in the backyard for when little ones come over.
Master bath has big walk-in shower booth, same tile as the rest of the room, with side jets available. Maybe even steam.
In-house intercom along with thermostat controls in each panel.
We can control everything - garage door, locks, thermostat, entertainment system, security cams - with our phones. They connect to the intercom as well.
As for bookshelves, closet size and organizing, entertainment/theater, doorbell tone, furniture arrangement - other people can take care of that.
**Wrong term, to my thinking. It's a helical staircase.
I'll take the Ferrari, but no American car would ever even be allowed in the driveway!
Foreign cars appeal to me more aesthetically, and I feel they're engineered better than American cars.BOO!!
My Ginger is insulted!!
How could you not love the GTO or Corvette?! That's just wrong!!

No offense to your Ginger though! I just appreciate the fact that you like fast cars, foreign or not.
Can't see the image, J.I have a little Saturn Ion Redline. Check it out. It's fast, it handles great, Recaro seats, tight suspension, five-speed manual, front-wheel drive. Of course, the American company got rid of the line. So, never mind. Point made.
Here's my dream car, which I probably wouldn't buy even if I could.
Nope.I'd have a fleet of Corvairs... Cars, truck and vans. Does that count for something?

Sorry, the Saturn is just too sedan-ish for me. I gots to have small and fast and sportier.I have a little Saturn Ion Redline. Check it out. Well, I'll have you know that my '60 Corvair was a chick magnet. Of course it was the hippie era when odd was in. And their judgements could have been slightly impaired at times.Nope.

The red is good.
And your dream car is good.
Nyet! No American car rides!Come on out for King Kon, and I'll drive you up 34 from Loveland to Estes Park, and you can see how small, fast, and sporty it feels.
