What did you think of the fact that the couple were driving a Mercedes? Quite a coincidence, now that he has recently written Mr. Mercedes? (Maybe he has a thing for Mercedes cars).

Not one of my favorites either-but I liked the way the tension increased as their road trip "went to hell!"So My computer is going a little wacky. Oh well. I can't add pictures till I reload. Enjoyed the story, can't say it was one of my favorites, but good.
I didn't notice the Mercedes, but it IS interesting now that you mention it.What did you think of the fact that the couple were driving a Mercedes? Quite a coincidence, now that he has recently written Mr. Mercedes? (Maybe he has a thing for Mercedes cars).
I doubt very much these musicians who died OD'd on marijuana! I think some of them choked on their own vomit etc. (eww - sorry).Let me guess, they are from Colorado and from Columbia 8)
Were they both gray too?!What did you think of the fact that the couple were driving a Mercedes? Quite a coincidence, now that he has recently written Mr. Mercedes? (Maybe he has a thing for Mercedes cars).

Overall I did enjoy this story more than some of the others. I just started "The House on Maple Street" but had to put it down, so I hope I can get back into it soon. Not one of my favorites either-but I liked the way the tension increased as their road trip "went to hell!"
You never know, I am sure he likes to be comfortable when he travels. He mentioned one time that he does a lot of driving in an interview. It isn't like you would expect him to drive a crappy Honda or a beat to hell Kia.I didn't notice the Mercedes, but it IS interesting now that you mention it.
Not sure but they had a pet name for the car - something female (sorry my book is upstairs right now - I have come unprepared!)Were they both gray too?!
Being so tall might have something to do with it - more leg room probably. You never know, I am sure he likes to be comfortable when he travels. He mentioned one time that he does a lot of driving in an interview. It isn't like you would expect him to drive a crappy Honda a beat to hell Kia.

By golly-we might be on to something here! And in one of the Dark Tower Books, Roland and ?Jake or Eddie? get a ride from a woman in a Grey Mercedes.
No Problem, Hon. I'm just glad you came. Not sure but they had a pet name for the car - something female (sorry my book is upstairs right now - I have come unprepared!)
You're right, that was a good sentence. We can tell he has had that part of his brain 'kick in' a time or two in his life. Just by how he worded the sentence. His word choices are so pinpoint accurate. My favorite sentence...
"The reptile that lived on the floor of his brain, the one in charge of self-preservation, would simply slither out of its hole in the mud and take charge of things."
A logical and rational thought.Being so tall might have something to do with it - more leg room probably.

And a "stretch" limo just doesn't seem like his style!A logical and rational thought.
Sounds like he has been on such a trip as the one described in this story. No Problem, Hon. I'm just glad you came.
