I'm not sure if you guys do this, but based on King's description of characters, I typically assign actors faces to the characters in my mind. None, IMO, was more easily assigned than Danny Trejo for Rainbird! Is that just me?

....ummm, George C. Scott played Rainbird in the 1984 film adaptation.....but, yeah-I do the same as you, and Danny would work great for a re-working of the film....I'm not sure if you guys do this, but based on King's description of characters, I typically assign actors faces to the characters in my mind. ....welcome Easy G....I do that also, and not only that, but I put a voice and accent with the character as well. Trejo definitely looks the part. His face already looks like he's got scars, just like Rainbird. But, like OldDarth said, it really needs to be an actual native American. Trejo almost has the voice down as well, and he could definitely learn the accent, but it's hard to picture him as anything but Hispanic.
Hah! Trejo is exactly who I had in mind. Maybe a few years younger though.I'm not sure if you guys do this, but based on King's description of characters, I typically assign actors faces to the characters in my mind.
