I went into the second thinking it would be a generic slasher film but it is really more of a pyschological thriller/horror, with more twists and turns than a silly straw.
Ah, you actually mean Psycho II! I thought you meant Gus van Sant's shot-for-shot remake. I have seen Psycho II and liked it. It's been a while though.

I like how it is almost confirmed that
Norman only kills one person, his supposed "real" mother at the end, all the rest could have been killed by almost anyone, likely his "real"mother, but it could be the people trying to set him up.

who killed others wasn't identified? Their murderer was confirmed to be Norman.
