wild blackberries are the best. Was too hot and dry here this year. I used to get enough for pies , fresh eating and freezing. Enjoy!View attachment 21294
I went ahead and picked a few blackberries. The swarm of mosquitos were very aggressive, so I didn't linger.
Thanks! Hey, I didn't know they could be frozen. Is there a special way to do it? Do you just toss 'em in a Ziploc bag and freeze them? One of the things I miss from living in Florida was our grapefruit tree. Do you grow anything else?wild blackberries are the best. Was too hot and dry here this year. Doc Creed - I usually put them on a cookie sheet in a single layer and freeze in freezer/ once frozen you can put them into zip bags and keep in freezer. I have just put them in a zip bags, however, they tend to clump into a solid mass. Pre freezing allows for individual berries. Thanks! Hey, I didn't know they could be frozen.
