I'm sorry, I meant Dees motivation to find the Night Flier, what propelled him?All of the above is my vote. He has been doing this a long time and needs more validation that he used to, maybe?

I think he did that to make possible trouble for the air traffic control guy...he didn't believe the Night Flier was a real vampire at that point. (???)Someone mentioned last week about the specifics of the plan in Dolans Cadillac (made them feel a little lost); I experienced this same feeling at a couple points during the story. The first point when Dees cut his arm and face with his pocket knife. (Why? To appear more banged up? To lure with the scent of blood, knowing the NF would be attracted to it?
oops, The second time was during the plane crash when the Night Flier was in the hanger and started wreaking havoc.Someone mentioned last week about the specifics of the plan in Dolans Cadillac (made them feel a little lost); I experienced this same feeling at a couple points during the story. I like your use of the word "propelled!" He was looking for the story of his career IMHO.I'm sorry, I meant Dees motivation to find the Night Flier, what propelled him?
That makes a bit more sense.I think he did that to make possible trouble for the air traffic control guy...he didn't believe the Night Flier was a real vampire at that point. (???)
Yes, that was how I read that part. He didn't "follow rules" because it would have meant missing the Night Flier, so he cut himself to prove injury and a need to land.I think he did that to make possible trouble for the air traffic control guy...he didn't believe the Night Flier was a real vampire at that point. Wow! Interesting question...On page 132, One of Dees 'rules' is never believe what you publish and never publish what you believe. I wonder if this is a personal rule of the author as well.
Just makes me think...
It was satisfying to me, was it good for you guys?
I didn't particularly like the very beginning, the end was amazing though! I got lost a little lost with the technical airplane jargon, kinda like the details in Dolan's Cadillac. If I was more mechanically inclined, I would probably appreciate that stuff more...It was satisfying to me, was it good for you guys?
I think the Night Flier sensed a "kindred spirit??!" It wasn't like Dees was one of the good guys...Also, the Night Flier knew he could destroy Dees for the rest of his life with the nightmare of what he had witnessed.LOL Yes, thanks for asking!
This was a great story. I enjoyed all the the flashbacks and eccentric characters, but at the end, it was Dees and his camera and...
A Night Flier with some sense of mercy???
Perhaps...maybe he was just full .... Laughed out loud about him 'watching the vampire taking a piss'. Uncle Steve led us through horror at all the body parts, revulsion at the vomit and finally to Laughter because of the bloody pee. D*nm, he is great.LOL Yes, thanks for asking!

Hadn't thought of the nightmare angle.I think the Night Flier sensed a "kindred spirit??!" It wasn't like Dees was one of the good guys...Also, the Night Flier knew he could destroy Dees for the rest of his life with the nightmare of what he had witnessed.
I was gonna mention that too! In all the works I've read about vampires, never once have I imagined them urinating!!Perhaps...maybe he was just full .... Laughed out loud about him 'watching the vampire taking a piss'. Uncle Steve led us through horror at all the body parts, revulsion at the vomit and finally to Laughter because of the bloody pee. D*nm, he is great.
Me too, I'm not mechanically inclined, very basic-yes, but God please don't ask me to work one of the 10 remotes we have floating around.I didn't particularly like the very beginning, the end was amazing though! And pissing blood or a red liquid...why not?I was gonna mention that too! In all the works I've read about vampires, never once have I imagined them urinating!!
I also found it interesting that out of all the bloody carnage Dees witnessed that night, what he fixated on was what he saw in the urinal!Perhaps...maybe he was just full .... Laughed out loud about him 'watching the vampire taking a piss'. Uncle Steve led us through horror at all the body parts, revulsion at the vomit and finally to Laughter because of the bloody pee.
