Hump day, hey? I'll keep that in the file.

Found the card for my wife...she had one sitting on the counter next to the computer this morning. Our 20th. She had to remind me I had a card for her, too. Thought I forgot...come downstairs this morning, see the card there, my name on it, couple stickers front and back, "love" and "butterfly kisses", and feel like a schmuck. Great, I think...par for the course. But at least I didn't get her a funeral spray...like I did one birthday...her birthday is right around Memorial Day and I come home with what I thought were real flowers. Ooooo! I think, when I step into the greenhouse up there on 26? In Houghton? Bunch of bright flowers! I take one and step over to the cashier, pay the bill, head home but not before grabbing one of those little cards they have by the register, one for birthdays. Found the card in the other room, on top of the gun safe other side of the washer and dryer. So...I'm all set. She went for a walk at the park here in town. Be heading out shortly, put the break in the truck, a roll of aluminum, saw benches...caulking...few other things.

We're going to go to the White House to eat tonight, heard good reports, never been there, myself. The wife has been there. Not in D.C. Mohawk, up north of here.
Happy Hump Day! :D

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Hump Day!

(((all in need or not)))
Thanks for reminding me that today is Wednesday!

I am off this week and out of my usual routine.

On Wednesdays it is cardio day at the gym for me - think I will go do a workout and be back later - I made a new recipe called "American Oatmeal Crisps"

It is from my 1001 Cookie Recipes book - yum - I used both chocolate chips and butterscotch chips (half a cup of each)

1001 Cookie Recipes: The Ultimate A-To-Z Collection of Bars, Drops, Crescents, Snaps, Squares, Biscuits, and Everything That Crumbles by Gillespie, Gregg R.: Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers 9781884822353 Hardcover - Sierra Nevada Books

See you guys later :encouragement::byebye::howdy:

Oh, Walter! Funeral flowers?? So how much trouble were you in with her after that?

I realized before I gave them to her. Hid them in the garage. Had a chipmunk giving me the loving eyes, the warm blood, loving nature. I think I went and got another batch. Should have realized the way the cashier at the greenhouse was all smiles when I grabbed the birthday card thingy...business card size? Yeah, I get that a lot...I figure some people are just way happy. Best to go through life completely clueless, make everyone happy happy happy. Chipmunk was happy, cashier was happy, my wife was happy. I was out a few bucks but had my...something...integrity? pride? had something intact. No one knows.

Under your bed
Sing a new song Chiquitita...

Oh jeeze. Gotta put a new fuel tank on my old/new car. Was fixing the wiring on her (her name is Silvia, as in Silvia fixed it ALL, ashtray back in place, chair over-turned...), and noticed a heavy gas smell in garage. Oops, the tank leaks. Oh well. Silvia fixed it all, sure... But lately it's ME who's doing all the fixing. Oh well, s'what you get when you buy a fixer-upper. She's a '91 Cavalier...keep yer snide comments to yerself. Great condition. She runs great, providing I can keep gas in her and keep the battery charged. Ain't like she's got a rod knocking or a cracked head. These are easily fixable problems. I can get a new gas tank for ninety bucks, put it on my damn self. Ain't hard. Hey, she's twenty five years old...that officially makes her an antique! (Said Arnie Cunningham).

And she came with a killer stereo system. Kenwood cd, 600 watt Kenwood amp, Rockford Fosgate sub woofers. Enough to make my hair stand on end. Who knew Abba had that much bass? Heh heh. And a little Krist Novelselic never hurt nobody either.

Russian Lightning all around. Get yer junker on!

I've been to the one in Jonesboro, ME. It was incredible! We each had our own server. The food was delicious, expensive but what can you expect? That was the summer I lived two house down from the Bush clan in Kennebunkport. Expensive area.

Super! Thank you for asking. No dessert, though. And afterward we had The Adventure of the Chair. Heh! Was way up past my bed time! Wife's mother and father are at Mayo Clinic, heard yesterday they're kicking them out the door possibly today. Criminy, she barely had a pulse a few days ago. Anyway, another friend whose widowed mother passed in Texas went there, spent a month, brought back a trailer load, a chair that moves by remote among them. Lifts you up and lowers you when you sit and as her mother could use it, we fetched it from Rice Lake, brought it out 203, set it up, had problems with it (lose connection) so forth so on.

Raining today, or continued threat of rain and more rain so looks like my metal roof won't get done today. This after the distributor brought the metal last week to the yard though the metal never made it off the truck. Some items did...ridge, corners, screws...and the metal is sitting on a trailer somewhere. What do they do? They make up a whole new batch. I guess that's why they give it away...something like $3/foot. Reminds me of this time I'd ordered a new sash for an Andersen casement window...wrong sash was sent, correct one eventually arrives. I ask them if they want the wrong sash back. No, throw it away, they don't want it! I still have it, down in the basement stairwell next to the Turtle Wax and cobwebs.
