Biopsys aren't so bad. All I have had done they gave me local anaesthesia. You wake up and its over. Best of luck to you.

Thanks, Holly. Got my blood work done early this morning, and my doctor should call me tomorrow about getting the biopsy set up. I just want it all over with!
Goodness, we are a talkative bunch! When I got on here this morning there was over 1,000 new posts! I can't keep up!
I've had a few done. You previously mentioned that the doctor said they might have to do a D&C.....that's how they do the biopsy.
When I was in the ob/gyn's office I was royally po'd.
pms non-stop for 6 months will do that to you
No sedation. No pain. Though apparently many women do feel pain. I was "mentally preparing" and said "OK. I'm ready" and he laughed and said he was already finished. For me, it was not much worse then a pap. I got about half way home and got stomach cramps. (Bad time-of-the-month cramps.)
When I needed a second one done, I was less nervous and opted to get it done in his office again.
I hope you don't have to wait to long, and that everything is fine.
Thanks fo all that info AM. That helped a lot. I shouldhear from my doctor today, but I'm not sur. She said she would refer me to the OB-GYN as soon as the blood tests got back to her.

That I do not remember. I don't think it was an extreme amount of time.
Waiting on medical tests results is the worst but the minute after I have a biopsy, blood test, or whatever, I'm always relieved a bit because either I'll learn nothing's wrong or, if something is, I can at least start working on the problem.
