I am just wondering if it is common practice to say 'thanks for the ride' to bus drivers when you are using public transportation? Here in Edmonton, we practically all say it. The bus drivers greet and say good day, as well. This driver, today, was quite an ebullient fellow. He kept on saying 'have a great afternoon' to everyone who stepped off. The bus was packed. His throat must have been sore after the end of his shift.

I don't often take public transportation but when I do, I like to say thanks for the ride and goodbye.

Good for that driver!

Acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, bring rewards. What a nice gesture.

If I'm being driven by someone else (bus, Uber, even Disney World bus/ferry) I thank my driver. I wouldn't say it's commonplace for all, but for my family it is.

Anybody tried the new nacho fries at Taco Bell yet? Thinking about making a run for the border for lunch.
We had those last week (it was probably on Tuesday) - they were okay and at least the fries were nice and fresh (and hot!) but I wasn't too keen on them. I couldn't finish them.
I prefer nacho chips because they're crunchy.

I thought they were really good, but you HAVE to eat them before the cheese and the fries cool off. I'd get them again, but only if I'm dining in.

Anyone exited for the Olympic s, have any favourite, sports to,watch

Curling. No, seriously...I love to watch curling. It's so dramatic and intense when the participants get into it and start screaming at the stone and the person doing the sweeping. Plus, I like any sport that I could probably play while drinking, and I could drink while playing curling.

Big fan of the Olympics! I love the opening ceremony and the excitement and seeing all the countries together at a huge venue, it gives me the warm fuzzies. My wife and I mostly watch for the figure skating events, with hockey and slalom a close second and third.

I watch the half-pipe snowboard stuff, and while it's impressive, I still have a hard time thinking of it as a traditional Olympic event.
