It isn't the Castle Rock from the Castle Rock logo, is it?These two are of a place called Castlepoint. (The rock is actually called Castle Rock)
The river is great... until it floods. (Only ever been caught out badly once, usually it's fine)You live by a river, @FlakeNoir, I am so jealous! I always dreamed of having a house right by a river or stream.

Your mountains are just beautiful, and those trees - how old are they, really?
And lastly, (yes I'm stopping now ) these were taken on our recent holiday to Rotorua:
....Holy Crap, is that ever a wonderful view...These are some (older) shots of my backyard...

Actually it must be around 2004/2005. But I could only reach a horribly bad cellphone camera, that is why it's so blurry. I think it must be your second choice, Diesel-electric for coastal defense. It's not one of the big ones. I was afraid to even take the pic, I didn't know if I was breaking any laws. This is from the west coast of Norway, and all boats that were going north had to pass us. I had great big binoculars by the window, and some days I felt like I was watching Discovery or something. Boats, birds, a whale occasionally. It was great! Those are great pics. Thanks for posting them. My wife grew up in Bamberg, Germany, military brat, they were stationed there for about 11 years. Her pics of Germany are so striking. I love the picture of the sub, looks like a diesel-electric powered boat, little small for a nuc. Diesel-electric powered subs usually used more for coastal defense, shallower water type operations. Is the pic with the sub from the 80's era?
