we're starting to get the outer edges. wind gusts and light rain so far. it's going to do what it did for everyone else and sit over us for about a day and a half all told, it looks like, but for us, fortunately it will be weaker. some flooding possibility (but not at my house probably), some potential for tornadoes, i think especially because we'll be on the east side of it. i went out and got groceries earlier today so i could hibernate for a couple days, i was low on supplies. the gas shortage was in full swing though, couldn't get any. but i don't have anywhere i need to go, so i'm good there.
You're in what city, if you don't mind my asking.

Its unreal and they are doing it on every channel. My daughter has been recording all these guys since Hurricane Harvey shes very amused when they get blown around while theyre talking and just earlier today, she said, 'Omg theres 'Steve' again!'
All politics aside, it's interesting how Trump's Mar-a-Lago has been spared and SK's palace in Osprey, FL took a direct hit! I hope all is safe and sound on Casey Key and I hope the writing never stops. :)

Was their any major damage to his place. He seems really close to, the water and kings house is very long.

i'm not planning on driving anywhere for a few days. and i've seen enough folks get caught out to not want to try standing water like that. i'm just gonna sit around the house with my laptop and my books and whatever else i can to entertain myself. no shortage of entertainment available.

The winds and rain are starting to slowly decrease in my area. On the radar, it looks like we have lighter weather on the way. I haven't heard any totals but I'm guessing we probably got around 12" of rain with a little more still on the way.

Yes me too, any updates on the aftermath? I just got up, and I can not find News coverage. Watching 911 coverage right know.
I texted Steve's FL assistant but they haven't been able to get out to inspect the Kings' houses yet. The staff are all okay--just had minor damage and no power but that's secondary to their being safe.
