I love this scene from 'gangs of New York' because it illustrates beautifully that while everyone prays to 'the same' God, more or less, they all ask for different and sometimes conflicting things. Backstory: there are 3 factions praying here: the 'original' Americans and the Irish, about to battle each other to the death, and an upper class politician that tries to please both sides to gain votes.

i know it's a cliche the great escape, but for this scene Mcqueen did all the stunts.

The Cooler King i seem to recall.​
He did all the bike riding, but contrary to popular assumption, he did not jump the barbed wire fence. That was his friend and stunt man Bud Eaton. McQueen campaigned to do it but the movie's producers were adamant that he not.
