Tonight at 8:00 we will be discussing Wolverton Station by Joe Hill. The story is in Joe's new collection, Full Throttle and is available as a kindle single.

....as I said elsewhere, he was able to breathe creative new life into a mangy and worn trope....the dark humor has been well inherited and there is uber gore, just tangentially glimpsed....I like your spin on it Joe, never read it as a morality tale-but that is a brilliant take.....I'm going to comment a little early tonight since The Heat and The Celtics are playing. I'll be back at half time.
You could say that this is a story of a guy that gets what he deserves. A corporate wolf being devoured by wolves. A morality horror story.
Joe said the idea for the story came as he was riding trains through the UK to promote Horns. He saw a station called Wolverhampton and the name of the station started the wheels turning.
Hand Raised.............Raise your hands if you have Full Throttle
I'd like to read another from the new collection if people have the book.
Hand Raised.............
Pretty sure Cat has it too.
Scratch that (sorry GNT). This is Thursday and the GNT may not be on before 4 so how about cat in a bag or Spideyman picking one from Full Throttle
I have not gotten to read any of Full Throttle yet, except for a few that were kindle singles previously, like Wolverton Station. So let's do Spidey's pick next week and then for the week after, I pick Dark Carousel.I will yield to a pick by cat in a bag , if she posts before close today.
If not how about The Devil On The Staircase? A very different "reading experience".

That should take us up to Christmas break.
Perfectly said.I'm going to comment a little early tonight since The Heat and The Celtics are playing. I'll be back at half time.
