Let's remember, though, that the peak is pretty grim. It means, roughly, that we have the same number of infections, hospitals, and deaths ahead as we do behind - unless we do things that bring a surge.

Here in Colorado, the Governor is phasing in reopening as of April 27, this coming Monday. Bars still closed. Restaurants are still takeout or delivery only. But salons of all types, open, with strict protocols. Schools have all pretty much declared online only for the rest of the semester. I don't know about the petri dishes of public transportation and churches.

I hope the Guv is right. Because if he's wrong, what we're doing is building a bunch of new roads for the new-model Corona to roll on.
....I think this "phase-in" is foolish and deadly.....the infection is just now starting to hit the so-called "unaffected" areas now, and putting feet back on the street will spur more infections and possible re-infection....

And I read something about 70+% infection in an Ohio prison, or the Ohio prison system? Something like that.

My goodness, Scott, please stay safe as you can. This is just flat not right.

I was at the eyedoctor yesterday and he said i must do an cataract operation. He hoped in a month or so time. I had hoped i just needed new glasses but nooo, i need to do an operation. Oh, well, its not complicated and should make me see better so thats good.
Hi Kurben, I'm 57 and had cataracts removed from both of my eyes when I was 45. Prior to this I wore glases since I was 13 years old, as objects further away were blurry. After the cataract removal they slipped some contact lens type thingys inside both my eyes and I haven't had to wear glasses since (except for about 5 years ago I started to wear reading glasses). It sure was a good sense of freedom of movement and lightness that I hadn't experiencd since my youth. Have a safe operation, mal

Does anyone know of any concerts live events that are still going ahead? I don't think there is any, but a few bands I follow were still doing concerts up until recently. One of them humourously announced Screw Coronavirus in reponse. :)

Check for online concerts. Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, and others have done some. I'm sure you could find some band or musician you like doing one somewhere. At the very least, streaming an old concert.
