Went to Barnes and Noble to pick up a SK book. Oddly, Doctor Sleep was sold out. They also didn't have the Shining. So no SK books for me. I did get Freakanomics, Lying by Sam Harris and The Westing Game.

Well oddly enough that would piss me off,If I want a copy they should have it,when i come to purchase it.Oddly? Oddly you say? Why I think it's the most natural thing in the world for a Stephen King book to sell out!

Just pulling your leg Lord Tyrion! (which, judging from a racy photo you posted before Christmas, you seem to enjoy! Where DID you find that one? nudge nudge wink wink - Can you post it again please?lol. It surprised me because there are always a lot of copies at Target sitting there sitting on the shelves. I just assumed B&N would have a full stock of them.

It's a good book series too. I am currently reading book two and I love it. TV series is not bad!
Welcome to the board!I just finished 11/22/63. Great book! I'm about 1/2 way through Dr. Sleep now.
I'm also going back and re-reading a lot of the older short stories. The Road Virus Head's North is one of my favorites.
Funny side-note about The Road Virus. I read it a long time ago and, in my mind's eye, Richard Kinnell always looked like Tom Berenger. I had no idea that The Road Virus had actually been part of Nightmares and Dreamscapes. Imagine my surprise when I saw who was cast as Richard Kinnell. Maybe I saw it somewhere and just made the link unconsciously. It was fun nonetheless.

That was odd! There were 1.1 million copies printed in the first printing alone, and they sold out?!?
