Well, I didn't purchase it myself... but, I did receive a gift from one of my boys for Christmas. It's the complete boxed set (including the free Windows screensaver inside) of The Green Mile.
It's the first time I've seen one in person and I think it may be first edition? (I am seriously crap at this and need to remedy that, but...) Inside each book it says "First Printing (1996) and the numbers go from ten down to one. It's awesome... sweet, sweet kid o mine. xox

Ayuh, indeed they are all first printings then, if the lowest number on each is a '1'! You are one lucky and blessed woman, Flake, to have sons that would know exactly what to get Mom for Christmas! It sure beats the heck out of some little bottle of gawd-awful smelling perfume, eh?

He did good, verily, verily good. :) (Christmas is all about the kids in my house so I am always both surprised and hugely tickled when one of them gifts me something. I also received a beautiful Jamie Oliver cookbook, love that guy and his food.)

I just received in the mail a 1st printing original paperback of The Running Man (the one with the black cover with the two hands holding an orb with a TV screen in it)that I found on thriftbooks.com for only $3.99 + tax! I urge all of my fellow SKMB members to check out this site for any books you may be looking for- they have pretty much anything you want at great prices. Shipping is included in the prices, too! I have even seen some limited editions on there and also books from small presses like Dark Harvest, ScreamPress, Cemetary Dance. Check it out!!

Ordered a Crews's novel yesterday after reading your post. They give referrals a 15-percent discount...don't know how I'd tell them, though. I read the story years ago...and there were copies for more bucks but this one was reasonable. One of his early stories.

Good for you, Walter! I hope that it is in great condition. I did forget to mention that all of the books that I have ordered have been shipped in flimsy plastic bags, so if there's something that you want for a collection and want it in mint shape, then this might not be the place to order a book. But, if you don't mind that you might get a copy with a 'bumped' corner, then go for it!

Condition doesn't matter too much...as long as it's readable. Was surprised at the price though as other copies were big bucks!

Well, as I posted yesterday about getting a copy of The Running Man for $3.99 + tax- I was very surprised at the low price, too. It was the only one on there that had the original ISB (they didn't even have the ISBN # back then!) so I took a chance, thinking it was going to be one of the reprints from later years, but was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the bag and saw that it was the original one. Not in the best shape, but it could have sold on ebay for $20 easy! I will continue to buy from them in the future. I did order what I thought was a 1st printing hardback copy of Let Me In a couple of months ago and when the package arrived it contained the paperback (which I alread had) and I emailed the seller and they gave me a full refund, so that was another plus in my book (pun intended!).
