I am not a big DT fan and I agree with you. I think I've said as much on these boards. The Wastelands is the best, I think. The books took a markedly strong turn after book four. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, either, because for such a long journey there must be surprises and the story should rocket to the next destination. Wolves definitely propels the reader into the next phase (level) of the story.It's probably blasphemy to admit here that the Dark Tower novels are not my favorite SK works (I feel like the series hit it's peak with The Wastelands,
