Hey there,
I'm alive and at sea with a crappy connection.
I haven't been around due to that, but also due to the changes to the board, which have made me deeply unhappy. Let me be clear about this: it isn't about the look and feel (which I dislike), or about the fact that my avatar disappeared (which pisses me off) or about post count (which upsets me not at all)...it's about other stuff that was removed with NO WARNING. There were things that were significant to me, things I'd have copied and kept, had we been given a heads-up. My online journal from the DT group, some PMs, and (most significantly) some of JD's writings. Removing that stuff without telling us it was about to happen feels like betrayal to me, and I'm angry and hurt.
I really wish the Powers That Be around here would take things like that into account before they go tearing apart things that matter to some of us.
Maybe in time I will make peace with this.

I hear what you're saying and do have my own feelings on the whole change over and transition. I would like to point out though that once this new board went live, everybody was given approx' a week for gathering P.M data. I also think (don't quote me, but do ask him) that Jordan still has access to the material contained in the groups if there is something specific you are after.
As to the look and feel of the new board, the more you use it, the quicker it may grow on you--many folks felt the same way to start with, but have quickly adjusted.
Whatever you feel (and you are entitled to feel however you like
) please don't take it personally, because it wouldn't ever be intended to be that way.

NEWS about PITH--
Just had a call-- he is safe from the tornadoes. Local police requested all not in safe buildings to leave the county, which he and mama did. Set up safe in hotel for the night. He hopes to get back to posting here soon and thanks all for their concerns.
