I walk into rooms all the time and wonder why the h*ll I'm there. I have to go back and do re-enactments of my walking in the room. Good lord. Does menopause brain fog EVER go away?
That happened to me today. It's happened to me all of my life, to one degree of frequency or another. So I assume it's not necessarily an age-related phenomenon; although, I think it's safe to assume that a person with short-term memory issues is more inclined toward it, and short-term memory issues can appear with age. While assuming I'll continue by adding that I think a person who feels stressed and/or tired and has a lot going on in his/her mind will experience it more than will others.

I'm not scared of spiders or crawlies, but they are disgusting to look at, and the thought of them on me does creep me out. Tarantulas on the other hand, they are so big and hairy that it takes away from the creepiness. I could probably take a tarantula walking on my hand/arm but a normal smaller (in comparison) spider, I would probably fling my arm out so violently to get rid of it.

I don't like moths either, again, not scared of them, they're just ugly and don't know their limits. Stay away from me and I'll let them stay, but no, they have to fly around you and return when you try to smack them away.

My dad was arachnophobic. When the family went camping, there would sometimes be a bunch of daddy longlegs on the tent. I'd brush them onto my arms and have them crawl over me, then say, "Hey, look, Dad." He wasn't actually afraid of daddy longlegs, but he just didn't like spiders, and it would give him the heebiejeebies, every time.

Hm, I thought it was funny. I must be getting old and weak. Now it sounds kinda mean.

Living on an island, especially living in the rural part of it, I see a lot of daddy longlegs, snakes and bugs. I should have gotten use to them but they still freak me out. There is also an islet off the coast called Centipede Island known for having huge centipedes.

When we lived on an island, there were these huge cockroaches, about thumb-sized, that would hide in your apartment at night and fly around as soon as you came in and turned on the light. Maybe in Florida they're palmetto bugs. I don't know. They looked like thumb-sized cockroaches to me. And they could fly. That was not pleasant. We tried to keep geckos around to munch on the bugs.
