I liked THE PASSAGE, but I couldn't get into THE TWELVE & gave up. Maybe I should try again...Justin Cronin's The Twelve. I'm having trouble putting it down to do real life stuff, lol

I finished my last edits, finished the [REDACTED] blogposts I had to write, and I can watch Sleepy Hollow and The Blacklist tonight

Yea, it threw me off at first starting back before where it left off, and introducing a buncha new characters, but it was great once I got into it
Happy today because I made it in to post something special for Flake before the day ends 
A lot of time passed for me between reading The Passage and The Twelve, so it was hard to get into, but I ended up really liking it. I think a reread to freshen my not-s-efficient-memory would have been a good idea....
Oh, and I am happy today because I AM LOVING THIS NEW BOARD!!!

Was a difficult read compared to the Passage, but well worth the time. Suggestion- try reading one chapter at a time. Let it sink in, and go forward. I found if I stopped mid chapter, I was lost when I returned to reading. Has to do with the going back and forth/ and character changes.
...because my wife and I had a nice vacation. We experienced first class...luck of the draw...us and several other couples...seats were open, charter, so that's what they did. Drew names out of a hat. I'm thinking, okay, leg room...great. We're fifteen minutes into the flight and the attendant notices my wife reaching for our carry-on, snacks inside. Put your snacks away, he says, we'll be bringing you out all kinds of food. So that's what she did and they did...brought out cheese and crackers, real butter knife to cut the cheese, real plates...then, they bring out a steak sandwich and a salad, garlic bread to go w/it. We said we'd share one...wife ate the salad, I had the sandwich...then...dessert...cake on a plate...layered cake. Yum. A bit later he's passing by with these little white wash-clothes...hot, damp...so you can mop your forehead after eating...scrub your armpits. Pat your wrists? I've no idea what real first class passengers do. A bit later he's in the aisle again, this time with a couple bottles of wine. Passed on the wine...but on the flight home, since the drinks were free, I had a few beers...managed to catch up on some reading...and we only bounced twice, maybe three times, landing. I hate when that happens.

I'm happy today because there's coffee in the kitchen. And I'm healthy. And everyone I love is well. And I'm blessed with the time during the day to do the work I love...

I'm happy because this weekend we finally start to move. Hooray!
I am happy that my cats are inside and safe and I am looking forward to more snow.
I'm happy. My workweek is over. I have no aches or pains in my back for the first time in weeks, no headache. Radiation this time has me back to wearing head scarfs for a little while, but that's okay as this time I didn't have so much hair to lose, lol. This is the best I've felt in a while, and I'm just so thankful to have gained two more pounds this week and get some of my long lost energy back. Life's good!
