Jack Reacher is mentioned a couple of times in UtD. Is this the Jack reacher from the Lee Child novels? I haven't read any of them so i can't really make this up from the story, no idea if he's millitary for instance...

No worries. It's always nice to have a discussion with someone on something.Googled it (could have done that earlier ), it's the same Jack reacher
It's not the midget Jack Reacher from the films though.
...I would be honored...Yikes, G (may I call you G? That's what I call all my friends whose names begin with the letter G, but if you think it's a little presumptuous, I'll cease and desist forthwith), more low jokes. Still funny though I have no shame. .
Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with 5'7" Tom Cruise playing a 6'5" 250lb Jack Reacher?
I've read all Jack Reacher books. Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with 5'7" Tom Cruise playing a 6'5" 250lb Jack Reacher?
...we ARE kin!....You are a disturbed individual sir...lol
I have a problem with Cruise in just about any role.
No. It's not just you.
But ultimately, Mr. Child owns Reacher and he can do what he wants with him (sigh).
Gotta respect a man's property . .
Could you cut him some slack in War of the Worlds(2005) and Born on the 4th of July(1989)?
WOTW was as scary as all get-out and he was a convincing regular guy.
And July made me stop and think properly about the guys who couldn't (and didn't) dodge the draft (like one of my tutors at university). Late-flourishing shame, if you will, 10 years after I went to university.
When the UK got into Gulf War 1.
Now it's personal, when your baby brother's older friend is out there, in the sandbox, and you're hoping and praying his buddy comes home. . .
Anyway, way off topic (sorry!).
Cruise can act, but not Reacher.

Being able to separate the actor from the (wo)man is very very difficult - when I found out a thing or two about James Stewart, via his biographer, I dumped his films.I know people who have worked with him and they have stories.... I know I should be able to separate the actor from the man but I just can't. My deal, I know it. I own it.
