Why are there no female leprechauns?
Because leprechauns are a race of smurfs.

I don't believe it was a unified effort to publicly trash you, I think what has happened is that things may have been festering away with people for a while and it all just came to a head. For me personally, I had just gotten tired of the sniping in the threads, it was widespread... and I actually did feel like it was also coming from you. (But, yes, I had noticed that you'd backed off from some of those earlier issues, as you have mentioned.)Flake,
Thanks for taking the time to post this. I feel I need to be clear that I don't have issues with anyone on here. I've not said or implied anything derogatory toward anyone here. Ever. Most of what I do on here is in jest/fun. (Unless it's a serious topic discussion)
Second, if anyone has issues with me, I'm confused as to why they would not take it up with me privately in a PM.
Doesn't that seem the most mature / adult way to handle it? Instead, I feel like there has been a unified effort to publicly "trash" me in an indirect way through (as you said) innuendo etc. So be it. I (personally) don't have a problem with that.
Regarding the "taking over of the threads" part - I don't think I am, but, I do post a lot - 50% in the games and 50% either in threads I have created or a few here and there I feel compelled to comment on. I think if you look at my content (meaning potentially offensive - suggestive, language etc.) against what the rest of the Members on here post, it's no different. You are just getting complaints about mine. I'm rarely here in the evenings or on the weekends so it's not like I'm "ever present" (which should not be an issue anyway...)
That being said, this is SK's board, and whatever he or whoever he empowers to run the board, says, goes.
I feel that if I'm within the rules of the board. Even so, recently, there was discussion of possibly closing down Hot Topics, I stopped going there. I don't think I should HAVE to, but, out of respect for the people here and the board, I did.
I don't feel like I'm being disruptive, unless, standing up for myself is being disruptive. I also don't feel like I don't get along with anyone - they may not like me, but that is only one-way. If I sense someone doesn't like me, I do the opposite of provoking them -- I don't speak to them or reference them in any way. I just want to be left alone to post on here and enjoy the conversation etc. and, going forward I am asking if anyone has an issue with me to please send me a PM.
Thanks,
Oh pleeeeeaaaasssse.......do come visit the NC High Country......I'll be more than happy to show you the sights....including the Cascade Falls and the Linn Cove Viaduct.....Oh crap. I can't go to Maine for fear of the chainsaw and woodchipper. If I show my face in either of the Carolina's, Sunny has promised to kill me. If I go to Florida, Hoss will bore me to tears. And if I end up anywhere on the west coast Siggy will give me the "what for." This SKMB is really limiting my travel opportunities.
Whom ever could you be talking about? If I remember the home improvement discussions, we can't handle tools very competently anyway.

Gotta go for the When Harry Met Sally question....
Can a man and a woman ever be "just friends"?
Isn't that how we ended up in Yemen in the first place?I ponder if there are studies on common patterns of thread hijacking.

I'm all for that. What made me enamoured in this board was its friendliness. Sniping and derogatory , even personal, remarks are not really a part of a healthy discussion. Why not let the arguments and discussions be just that instead of devolving into pubbrawls.I'm saying this for everyones benefit--this Board has been going on for a very long time and built up a community of people who care about each other and hopefully we are all adult enough to realize that not everyone is going to get along 100% of the time for whatever the reason but creating even more negative discourse behind the scenes rather than bringing things out into the open and dealing with them or not taking it privately with the person involved if that's more appropriate is not the way we'll keep that positive community feeling going. And please respect ALL of the moderators, especially Dana Jean and FlakeNoir who are doing this completely on a volunteer basis and putting in extra time beyond what they might normally do to interact on the Board. It's a very tough line for all of us to be friends with the members and then have to put on our Moderator hats to deal with issues that come up and just because some members have been here nearly from the beginning does not mean that we can give preference to them over the new members if no one is breaking the rules. We all have control over how we respond to posts and do not have to allow any other person's irritations real or imagined to define how we interact with everyone else. I'm 100% in agreement with my fellow Mods that we have had our fill of the sniping and would like to bring things back to a more welcoming vibe for the Board. Let's try to clear the air and move forward so that people will have a positive feeling again about coming here.
I'm Ms.Mod's number one fan!! Anyone want to argue with that? Send me a PM......Harrumph!!
I'm also Dana Jean's and Flake's
....and all this time, I thought you were mine......I think I might be sad now that the truth is out.....I'm Ms.Mod's number one fan!! Anyone want to argue with that? Send me a PM......Harrumph!!
