I whole heartedly agree. The whole way the story progressed and ended just gave me the creeps.In the proper frame of mind, this is simply a perfect story.
It's not so often anymore that reading anything sends an actual, palpable shiver up my spine, but
when Henry says, "Goodbye, mama" to his passed-out mother before he draws the burlap sack over her head
I actually shivered.
Done right this would be a great film.My favourite of the collection. Would like to see this as a movie some day
So hard to pick a favorite story. I really didn't like Fair Extension as much, but the other three are just perfect King.
1922 was terrific. As a matter of fact, Full Dark No Stars was his best novella collection since Different Seasons. If done right, 1922 could be movie right up there with the likes of Shawshank and Green Mile.
