I like to buy used books in bulk, but I will sometimes buy books new, especially if its a new release from one of my favorite author.

yesterdays used book store purchases
The lady at the check out counter said I had good taste.
...not book snobby but Kleenex snotty......when it comes to Kleenex, I prefer new to used, but in the matter of books-if it's a King or a Koontz, it will be purchased in hardcover new...others can be new. used, paper or hardbound...I'm not book snobby that way...
...is there any other way?.......not book snobby but Kleenex snotty...
Andy still uses a cloth hanky (I know, I know - it's a British custom for old folks like him kinda thing)...is there any other way?....
Would you mind reading Floating Dragon first? I read it a million years ago and don't remember anything about it. I think I remember liking it but I'm afraid to read reviews because reviews often contain spoilers. If you like it, I'll reread it
Musty is an indication that it is possibly contaminated with book "creepy crawlies"I buy all of the King books new (unless I run across a nice copy of one of his older books at a thrift store or used book store, then I'll snatch it up) but most of my other authors that I like I will try to find at a thrift store or used book store. I don't like it when an older book smells musty- if I try to read it, it gives me a headache big-time!
I have found that if it does have a musty odor you can pop the book (minus the dustjacket) in the microwave for about 30 seconds and it will help to kill the bacteria that is causing the odor.Musty is an indication that it is possibly contaminated with book "creepy crawlies"
