Yes, he is. I stand in awe of him, and of his wife Tabitha, and both Joe Hill and Owen King. I have not read anything by Naomi, however I bet she is as talented as her siblings.

I have only read Mr. King and NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. (I did enjoy NOS4A2 a lot)Yes, he is. I stand in awe of him, and of his wife Tabitha, and both Joe Hill and Owen King. I have not read anything by Naomi, however I bet she is as talented as her siblings.
Where'd you go AB? You are missed!Oh I know!!!
You are right about that part for sure - that is the way he gets us interested to read more - to see what led up to the writer telling us about "the degeneration of mankind, the end of war etc".Question #5 regarding flashbacks-this story couldn't be told without them. The history of the brothers led us to the complete understanding of why Howie helped Bobby and his love and forgiveness throughout the story and at the very end...
He tells the story in a linear fashion though so we understand. Usually when I read stories that have many past events, I get lost jumping backward and forward after a few times. Is there a specific 'trick' that he uses? I don't think so, he circles the narrative so you want to know more.Question #5 regarding flashbacks-this story couldn't be told without them. I did find the story actually went quite fast for me and it kept my attention. My mind did not wander or go off topic, so that is a good sign! I agree! I was just talking about this recently-some authors seem to jerk back and forth, almost as if they forgot something and inserted it wherever they were in the story where they remembered it, leaving the reader bewildered. SK has never done this to me!He tells the story in a linear fashion though so we understand. We'll keep the same outline and questions. Does anyone have anything they want to discuss about this story before we stop?
Guys, this has been a fairly short meeting tonight. Why don't we agree to meet next week if we are able and discuss Suffer The Little Children. In the back of the book is a blurb about the story as well.
I really do appreciate our discussions.
Beg pardon--my phone died! I hate I missed the end of the discussion.Where'd you go AB? You are missed!
Thank you for letting us know what happened. I was neurotic enough to think I had done something wrong.Beg pardon--my phone died! I hate I missed the end of the discussion.
I'd just like to say this was a really good discussion of a great story. May The End.... help us hold up the mirror and ask ourselves what are we doing to help the planet and those around us? Are we helping or hurting?
Loved this tale. Can't wait for next week.
