Dark Tower Movies and TV Series![]() Reports of a Dark Tower TV series and movies have been in the news recently. Ron Howard, Akiva Goldsman, Brian Grazer and Imagine Films are in discussions with Steve regarding the adaptation of the series. Here's the word from Stephen: "It looks good. Things are happening and they are happening fast but any reports you see might be taken with a grain of salt for the next couple of weeks. The story opens with the confession of Wilfred James to the murder of his wife, Arlette, following their move to Hemingford, Nebraska onto land willed to Arlette by her father. Big Driver Mystery writer, Tess, has been supplementing her writing income for years by doing speaking engagements with no problems. But following a last-minute invitation to a book club 60 miles away, she takes a shortcut home with dire consequences. Fair Extension Harry Streeter, who is suffering from cancer, decides to make a deal with the devil but, as always, there is a price to pay. A Good Marriage Darcy Anderson learns more about her husband of over twenty years than she would have liked to know when she stumbles literally upon a box under a worktable in their garage.
Stephen to do Cameo for Sons of AnarchyStephen will be filming a cameo role for the FX series Sons of Anarchy. His part is currently scheduled to be in the third episode of the new season set to air in September. Marvel is launching Dark Tower: The Gunslinger #1 in May. This series follows Roland as he embarks on a quest to avenge his fallen gunslingers. Robin Furth, Peter David, and Richard Isanove team up again and welcome artist Sean Phillips (INCOGNITO) to their team for this project. There will also be a variant cover by Jae Lee. Stephen to receive award from Los Angeles Library FoundationStephen will be receiving an award in recognition of his contribution to literature and the art of storytelling at an event sponsored by the Los Angeles Public and Library Foundation of Los Angeles on May 19th. The event is a fundraiser for the L.A.
