THIS MOVIE IS THE BOMB!!!! This is the movie that started getting me into Stephen King's work. My favorite character is Emmery (not sure if that's how you spell his name), just for the fact that he's crazy and he breaths funny.

I met Stephen King on day in passing I reconized him but since we were in public I didn't want to cause a stir... we never spoke out loud only through our minds he understood perfectly..Annie is very close to my name (Laurianne) and somehow I feel that part of the movie was related to our meeting.....anyways I have some of the abilities that Annie has so Mr. King if you would like to hear more about the things I have seen let me know. (((HUGS)))

I absolutely loved this film. I am a keen fan of horror and suspense/psychological thrillers and this film ticks all the boxes for me. Well worth watching and even though it is a long film, that should not put you off watching it.

I was just informed through the grapevine that the actual location for Rose Red is going to be demolished. I was just wondering if that was true. thank you for everything you have done when making the books and movies.

stephen king is an awesome author when i saw this movie i was really impressed on how well of a job he did on this book and movie. it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

The book was great, the film amazing, this story took my little paranormal heart for a spin. I loved the part when King played the pizza man, it cracked me up. 10 stars to all the actors and actresses in the movie, they made it very realistic.

I love this movie..... i cant watch it over and over again its one of my fav....

Posted By: Anonymous - 07/26/2009 - 11:22 AM EST

I thought this movie had a very good storyline but I found it to be about 2 hours 2 long. A 4 1/2 hour movie is long unless you can keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The problem was is I was only on the edge of my seat for about 2 1/2 hours.

i have watched this movie so many times i can recite the lines as the movie plays. i watch it once every 2 months just from having withdrawals from it. awesome!

I agree that this is one of the best horror movies out there. It's suspensful and the mythology behind the haunting makes is intreging and makes sense. There's no unnecessary gore and the experience is actually scary not just a gross out fest.

This is what started me with Stephen King. Great movie, I really wish that he would release this story rewritten as a novel or at least publish the screenplay...

Posted By: Leigh - 03/02/2009 - 2:02 AM EST

I thought this was one of the best horrors I've watched in a long time all this gory stuff they show now is totally bogus... Dream catcher and IT are also in this catogory but I thought the Mist was abit of a let down though it did give me a panick attack 0.o. Cant wait to watch more of His movies and read more of his books

I loved this movie I remember being merely 11 when it showed on television for what i believe was the first time. My cousin and I stayed on the phone the whole time. :] Genius yet again. If i was a centipede I'd give it a hundred thumbs up. but since I am not. Two. :]

I love rose red and I believe that the house (not thornwood castle) Exists... Best movie ever. seriously. I laughed the whole way through. (don't get scared) If you're don't like scary movies, too bad, you've gotta watch this one!

this particular piece of work really made me have creepish chills crawl up my spine, but regardless i loved the story, it was full of suspense and at times heroism. it really made me jump a few times but i dont care it was awesome one i could read and watch over and over again

Posted By: Francis - 01/30/2009 - 4:11 PM EST

I have always said that Rose Red is my favorite movie ever...i was hoping it would be a book but i read on this site that it won't be so i won't push that...i think my favorite part of all Stephen King's movies is that he's in them.

Posted By: Garfield - 12/29/2008 - 6:32 PM EST

dude you seriously need to publish this as a book

Posted By: Louise-o-uk - 12/25/2008 - 11:49 PM EST

I love this film and every other film stephen king has written or been involved in. I dont know about every one else but one of the things i love about all the King movies is the fact that the cast(going by the movies ive seen so far)are people who are not the high profile actors/actresses that star in most of the movies these days and are spread all over the papers ect, but great actors/actresses who are so underrated for their work! But thats just me..let me know if you feel the same...oooo and while im here im wondering if people would like to see a movie made from Rose Madder and Bag of Bones...im undecided as i dont want the images ive imagined through reading of both books ruined by a badly made movie yet i want so bad to see them on tv/dvd! Happy christmas btw xx

Absolutely the best film I have ever seen. It has been my favorite ever since it aired and it always will be. It's a amazing twist on every classic haunted house story. The story is phenomenal; almost a bittersweet romance drenched with beauty and despair. From the beautiful (and sinister) house, to the gloomy skies and dead leaves, Rose Red is captivating in a way that no other film grasps; into your mind. The only part missing? A score of the powerful, heartbreaking music which I have searched for a number of years, but to no avail. Mr. King is a genius.

I LOVED this show!!! I don't feel it's the BEST ever done of Stephen Kings movies, but I loved it. It kept me glued to the t.v. set. I watch it a lot.

I love seeing Stephen in one of his book/movie because it tells me he approved the screenplay

Posted By: Jeffrey - 09/19/2008 - 10:13 PM EST

why did red rose have such a bad ending it did not make or have any meaning

Posted By: Jo - 09/12/2008 - 1:19 PM EST

Given the research assuredly done by Stephen King, this is a very competent portrayal of his vision. Most of his stories are not translated well in the screenplays, but this one wasn't bad at all. I am a huge admirer of Kings' works and this one combined one of my favorite "haunts"- Winchester Mansion and Kings' imagination, a winning combination.

I watch Rose Red once I believe it to be true story and It's was. I believe in everything supernatural. I love to visit Rose Red in the future one day.

Posted By: Courtney - 08/22/2008 - 11:10 AM EST

I loved Rose red because I love stories about haunted houses and I love ghost stories and I know that I watched the movie alot and I am a belevier in ghosts and this book and movie is really good and I would like to say that I know that it is based on a true story and this one really tells the story about a women who just plain had enough of what her husband done to her and she was sick of her heart being broken and she truned on the tables on him when she threw him out the window and killed him.
