There's a lot that can be said about this TV movie (good and bad) but one thing is certain - the depiction of the Marsden house in this film was amazing. It was as scary as a house could ever look. There was a house just like this in our old neighborhood that haunted all the children. And for years after we moved away, we would occassionally drive by just to get the chills!

Hey, I just wanted to say that this mini-series was one of my favorites of all time, ( I am a vampire nut). The reason that this is one of my favorites is because it was filmed about 10 minutes from my home town of Rio Dell, California. The actual name of the town where it was filmed is Ferndale. As a matter of fact I used to drive by the place where the Vamps house was. It is on Blue Slide Rd. And yes, Ferndale does have all of those Victorian houses and buildings. It's nick name is The Victorian Village. It would be awesome if this was made into a feature film and re-shot in Ferndale..

I'm a writer. I've always adored the book as well as the movies. David soul and lance kerwin are incredible, and will always be etched in my memories of classic horror. When needed, I still read the novel--now falling apart with no cover. DCW

Great movie's Tobe Hooper, with a few notable players, including James Mason and David Soul. The best thing about this book is the plot of the novel by King and the atmosphere of the tv series ...

Salem's Lot is a fantastic book and the tv seris is brilliant, Really scary and true faithful to the book. When I watched it when I was a kid, I was so scared I made crucifixs , and put it by my bed.

This show aired one year before I was born, but I do remember seeing this as a kid and being truly terrified! The vampire is the best design ever and his silence through-out adds to his power! Excellent adaptation of a truly classic book. Read and watch this version!
