I like Stephen King (most of the time anyway), but... half of these were not horror stories in any way, shape or form. I know the book doesn't technically say they are, but the quotes on the covers and in the beginning certainly imply it. But anyway, N. alone was worth the price of the book, so I can't complain too much.

Loved the collection! Used "Rest Stop" in my creative writing class as an example of a Hero's Journey - they were able to see that heroes don't have to have a cape and x-ray vision! Awesome story! My favorite was "Willa" - read and re-read it because I loved the mood and feeling it emoted. Keep 'em coming!

I've always been a bigger fan of King's stories as opposes to his novels. In fact, the collection Everything's Eventual, in paperback (I now have a hardback copy), that introduced me to the author. My favorite story is Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. In my opinion, the story medium is the best medium for fiction, because when you're limited to 5,000 to 15,000 words, you're expected to be more intimate with the language due to not being allowed to waste words to create your settings and characters. But that's just my opinion. Two other favorites: "The Man in the Black Suit," and "Everything You Have Will be taken Away".

It's a nice collection (as are all of his collections) that you'd wanna read on a quiet Fall evening while a cool soft breeze meets the evening. "Mute" was good, as was "Aryana". And to you, Mr. King, I do hope that you will continue to write short stories. I love all of your collections. "Everything's Eventual" and "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" were great!!! Please keep going.
