Just finished reading this. Of course we are all probably familiar with "The Langoliers" and "Secret Window, Secret Garden", both having been made into movies and both excellent works. I loved "The Library Policeman", but "Sun Dog" was truly my favorite and another glimpse into the Universe of "Needful Things". The whole book is a delight!

*Possible spoilers* My tenth SK; I'm definitely glad I read it. The Langoliers had very believable characters and a very unexpectedly happy ending; Secret Window, Secret Garden was exciting and suspenseful even though I'd already seen the Johnny Depp movie; The Library Policeman was not what I had expected at all, and by far the most sinister piece of writing I have ever read in my life; The Sun Dog, like Pet Sematary, took a while to get exciting, but ultimately, it was well worth reading.

I really enjoy reading The Library Policeman. Now I'm starting Everything's Eventual. I'm sure that these stories will fascinate me. =)

I really love the first story, The Langoliers. I think that it's now one of my favorite books! I can't get over the suspense...and the fact that my favorite characters in stories almost always die, but you, not everything can be perfect in good books. Anyway, I'm excited, heading into the second story! .=-'

Absolutely brilliant collection of 4 Novellas, the best two in my opinion being The Sun Dog, a 'Castle Rock' story about a very special camera (a prelude to Needful Things apparently) and The Library Policeman - quite honestly one of the scariest Stephen King stories I have ever read! Everything about this tale is sinister to say the least and haunted me for ages after first reading it. I hope these two stories eventually get made into episodes for the 2nd season of Nightmares & Dreamscapes (no idea if they are filming another series but here's to hoping!!!)

This is the first Stephen King story that I have ever read. I picked it up when I was 19. From that point on I have made it a habit (mild addiction) to read everything that this man has written. I think that this is the PERFECT book for first-time readers. It WILL get you hooked. It is nothing short of breath taking with every turn of the page. It will keep you reading until the sun comes up in the East.. And if your anything like me, until it goes down again in the West. LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

I could not believe the happiness this book gave me as i read it. Im still reading it and i only got given it yesterday. I am near the ending of The Library Policeman but i have to say how great i though the langoliers was. The whole book so far has been spell binding but the langoliers is still my favourite. This is the first stephen king book i have read but it is definitely going to make me want to read more of his fantastic works.

Hello there, my name is Kieran Gibson and I live in Scotland. Me and my dad are massive fans and particiularly enjoyed this collection. I seriously enjoyed "The Langoliers" . I found it thrilling and couldn't wait to see what happend next. I thought that it reminded me of the Doctor Who christmas special where he goes through the worm hole and the creatures are eating the world. I loved the book! Yours Senceirly Kieran Gibson 14 (Sorry for my bad spelling)

I tend to shy away from King's short stories (although I have read all of his novels) I bought this book on a whim and The Langoliers was wonderfully surprising. The other three stories are just as spell binding. They read as if they were novels. I couldn't put this collection down; I read it in three days.

The Langoliers is definately my favourite of all Stephen King short stories. King creates his own unique vision of time travel which captivated me immensely
