I'm 32 years old and starting reading King when I was about thirteen. I first picked up The Stand: Complete and Uncut upon its' release and it took me about two wonderful weeks to finish. To this day, it's still my favorite book, by any author, that i've ever read. I've reread it atleast three more times over the years and it never ceases to entertain and enlighten me. For me, this incredible journey has to be the greateset good vs. evil story ever told!

I read this book the first time when I was 16. My parents were away on a trip and it was just me and my older brother in the house. It scared me plenty to read this with no one around our normally loud house. It was easy to imagine it was happening for real as I read it...kept me up nights and I LOVED it!

I just finished reading Salems Lot today. I found it terrifyingly good. I have to admit it was my first book by Stephen King and I loved it. I'm going to read as meny more as i can. I'm 21 years old and haven't read a better book, well execpt for the Anita Blake books but hey that doesn't really count.

love fantasising about a silent, dead world where all technology is still lying around, but no-one apart from the 'chosen few' are around to use it and keep me company. Lot like 'Omega Man' or 'I am Legend' for you younger gen readers! Those crazy Islam extremists will one day let off something biologically nasty and cause all this to happen. One can only hope it takes them with it- need peace to enjoy the empty world.....
