I adored this book. I loved the way Stephen King wrote about Trisha's fear of being lost in such a vast and terrifying place. As I've only just recently started reading Mr. King's books, I immensly enjoyed reading about Trisha's thoughts while trapped in the woods. Definitly one of my favourites out of the books I've read so far.

As many terrifying books as SK has written this one really shook me up. The way he was able to capture the despair of being a young child lost and alone. Also, the fact that on several occassions if Trisha would've went another direction, help was so close, but she chose the wrong way. Analogy for life, so many times if we made a different choice, how much less complicated the circumstances could've been. I still don't know how to interpret the ending. I appreciate it being left uncertain. Just adds to the tone of the story. No one can tell a story like Stephen King.
