Loved this book. I have been a uber fan for decades. I thought I had everything Stephen King had written, till last Christmas when a friend got me the pop-up version of this book. It is awesome!

This book was excellent, and it really got me thinking about what I would do if I become lost in the woods. It also got me thinking about just how strong people can be and how much being alone in the woods for so long can really change you. Although I would like to know who made that phone call to the police station. This book really opened my eyes and I realize now that I take a lot of things for granted and it has made me appreciate everything I have because it can all change so quickly. Thank you Stephen King for this amazing novel and i cant wait to read another one of your books. (I think my next novel will be Pet Cemetary) Sincerely, Rebecca Howitt

***SPOILERS*** Matt Brown. You missed the point. The ending was genius. the book was genius. It was tom Gordon's 'stillness' that saved the girl at the end.(then her pitch,of course). There are some Ref's to other king works. bag of bones among them.

did we ever find out what made the fake phone call to the police during the book?
