Fantastic! My most favourite book!

My first introduction to SK and I love this book. I'd always avoided SK before as I thought I'd be scared sh*tless but this book showed me that he's not really about the scary stuff (though it's there) but about putting amazing characters in extreme situations and seeing how they get through it (or not). The characters are so compelling, I found myself drawn into the book completely. I read the whole book straight on a flight and have read it again maybe 4 or 5 times, and since then I've read almost every other SK novel. I love the early ones for the sheer imagination but the later ones (Tommyknockers, Dreamcatcher, From a Buick 8, Duma Key, Lisey's Story, Under the Dome) have such great characters and to me are almost elegaic in feel. Shame about the movie of Dreamcatcher, it could have been so much better, but don't let that put you off the book.

Very good read. I found myself as always when I read Kings works.

I just want to say that my favourite author is Stephen King. But to be clear - I dind't like the movie at all. It was a big disappointment for me. I guess that 'The Green Mile' & 'The Shawshank Redemption' will be the only good movies made of King's books. But as I said - King is the King. Pardon my English. Sorry if I made some mistakes.
