I loved this book so much. This is the only King book to date that I have actually read twice. Maybe the only book ever I have read twice. The movie was awful, does not do the book justice.

Can anyone tell me the book that this one ties in with??

A solid Stephen King novel. It didn't have many shocks or edge-of-your seat moments -- much of the book seems to just be an exploration of character development -- but it contains a great cast of characters. Characters you will grow to love or hate. Or somewhere in between . It took me about 50 pgs to get used to the writing style, but I eventually came around to appreciate it. If this novel was expanded just another 100 pgs, it wouldn't have worked; there just wasn't enough in the novel to justify a much longer read. But at about 300 pgs, with large font, it's just right. As it stands, it does what it can with the material its given and provides a solid reading experience. Not a favorite, but not bad.

this was one of the best stories i had ever read;especially when we know that here horror is mixed with a little comedy(dolores always washed her mistress's shit from walls).

This was a great book! The movie was great also. Kathy Bates was the perfect choice. Her & I share the same last name now that I am remarried. Yes, I married a man with the last name Bates. First name is not Norman. After my divorce, my favorite thing to say was, "Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman has to hold on to." Needless to say I was single for 8 years. It was great! Thanks!
