This is my favourite book by Stephen King yet. It is written in a way that almost makes you feel like you can relate to Johnny and that you sympathise with his power. I loved this book because I've always been fascinated by physic powers and how that can change the way people handle it. I was completly absorbed and finished 'The Dead Zone' in nearly three days. Good job Mr. King.

For myself, this is the book that I not only enjoy reading, I can taste the atmosphere of a 'back-roads' teacher with an extraordinary gift. To be allowed to step into the shoes of John Smith and to know what he knows causes one to do nothing more than to thank Stephen King for the opportunity. A great read and a great writer!

Just finished this book and I am extremely pleased! I loved the story line. This novel really shows that even King's less popular works are fantastic.

I found it very interesting that the theme of the mind-reader comes up frequently in your work. I wonder if it has anything to do with the way you see yourself as an author, impersonating all of the characters you write about and thus, reading their minds. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a reason a lot of authors decided to write... there's so much to learn about yourself and the world that way.
