I've bought ten copies of this book in paperback and given them out to friends of mine and my kids'. This is THE book to read about horror stuff to put on your MUST list!

Greatest book on the subject there is. It reads like great literature and expounds on a much underdiscussed topic. I would love to see this updated for a 30th anniversary edition given Mr. King's great accomplishments in the last 30 years since it came out.

I've finished reading Danse Macabre for about the 80th time (no, really) and only now learned that a new edition has been published features opinions and lists of horror movies released since the book's original appearance in 1981. I've been eagerly awaiting such a volume for several years. Where can I find it? I'm responsible for a lot of content in the Wikipedia article on this book, and I'm eager to read new info. Any more info on where to find the new version is appreciated.

I read a selection of this novel for an english assignment, and i believe it is one of the most easy to read and understand. I believe it shows that not only is King a fantastic writer of novels with a fun imagination, but it also shows he has a deep insight for the things he writes and why it is he writes them.
