A very nice coming of age story( sort of ) in small town America with a little twist. A very enjoyable movie.

Love all your books, but this one is the sweetest. Also, my favorite!

I did not see this movie, but read the book. This, along with The Stand, and The Dark Tower series are my favourites.

A terrible adaptation from a good story. A horrible movie, even Hopkins couldn't saved the day.

i loved the cards in the dorm life gave me a weirded sense of timetravel brought back lots of memories too. the romance, working, goin to class sometimes, the great american chickenfoot. The constant theme in life: you truly never know how things are gonna play out like catholic girls or hearts

While I am aware, that this movie was done from a SHORT story, after reading the full book, Hearts in Atlantis, I was so disappointed in the movie. BUT, the book WAS done in three parts. Would have been super hard to put all of it in the time allowed. So, for a SHORT story, it wasn't toooo bad. I think Anthony Hopkins could play ANYTHING and make it come out good.

I was quite dissapointed the first time I saw this. This is by far my favourite King book, so I missed a lot of the wonderful things from the book. But I think the film gets better as you watch it for the second and third and fourth time. Hopkins is excellent as Ted Brautigan. And just so you know, the screenwriter (William Goldman) is a hardcore King fan...

This was absolutely the worst movie adaptation I have ever seen. I was actually angry while watching. You know when Bobby gets the baseball mitt FedExed to him in the first 10 minutes of the film that the screenwriter must hate King fans.
