A stray cat on a New York City sidewalk has a vision of a young girl (Drew Barrymore) who pleads for its help. This movie was amazing. It was a (I guess) lighter tone then most Stephen King movies and I love the refrences in the begging, such as: Cujo, and Christine. (Tell me if I am missing a cameo.) My favorite story in the movie is probably 'Quiters Inc.'.

A good portion of this was filmed at my friend's house. He remimbers playing with Drew during her down time. A number of Stephen King's movies from the 80's were filmed in and around Wilmington NC.

This movie is an adaption from the collection of short stories entitled Night Shift. The book is way better but this is a good adaptation from those stories. I say a job well done

I read on IMDB that there was a prologue in the script that was cut out from the film. I would like to know what that was. If Stephen King had written this as a screenplay now, instead of then, they probably wouldn't have cut anything. It's a shame he couldn't have more control over it. I still love the film though. The troll costume is great! I can't wait for the Dark Tower adaptation if that's even possible. Maybe one day I'll be able to be the film maker that does it. One can only dream.
