Wait a minute. This is just a collection of previously released material. I rescind my previous comment. I don't mind if the material is out there to be read and then re-released in a collectible format. That makes sense to me, I guess. Sorry.

I agree with David Argyle. I have no issue with special editions of books that have a full run in addition, but books that require a huge investment is not very fair for the "contant reader." Can someone explain it?

i am sure there are hundreds of collectors who have most of stephens books so why does he put some out of reach from us .a little unfair i think . regards david argyle

...because the edition you're looking at is probably not only hardcover, but a deluxe or limited edition... If you were looking to buy a signed copy, the price will be even higher. If you want it at an affordable price, you can try searching for a paper back or second hand copy. This version here is also first edition.... Hope this helps...
