These books are high priced because they are limited editions. They of course are all first prints because there will never be a second printing! Cemetery Dance has put out several Stephen King books this way. They always make 52 lettered signed editions, 750 signed editions, and around 3000-5000 gift editions. There is no second run of these books. These books aren't priced for your casual collector. And to nab one in the future, sign up for their email!

I myself cannot afford a copy of this title and very much would love to have one.. However, with this type of work I can appreciate the price.. There is a lot of work that goes into a graphic novel, even beyond the author. Chadbourne has to be paid as well and, it is after all a Limited Ed. and Collectors item.. I suppose if I had made an attempt to purchase this at it's release I may have had a chance.. I am however not going to give up on my search for one.. Thank You Stephen! Especially for The Dark Tower series it is a masterpiece..

I love Stephen King but the price of SoD vol1 is way out of my price range, volume II was also but I received it as a gift. Look at Little sisters of Eluria - $75.00 - no book is worth that. Come on Stephen - give us a price break....

I agree with the other posts, why are we hearing about volumn II when we couldn't buy volumn I??? I am a devout SK fan and have most of his books, why are there other books out of my reach (and price range)??? I priced Volumn 1 on line and the prices are outrageous, even on E-Bay!! I am still a devout fan but would like the opportunity to be able to buy SK's works, ALL OF THEM, before second volumns are released.
