while searching for a member's posts, it would be nice to know which post in a thread the post was...#23?...#3,057? some threads are short, few replies, no problemo there, but then, some threads are pages long, and unless i'm doing something wrong (entirely possible) that key, what # post a certain reply was, is not supplied. possible to supply that info?

I'm making an assumption that you know who the member is in which case all you have to do is go to their Profile page, click on the Statistics, Find All Posts, and then you should be able to find the right one there. If you then want to find out what the post number was you can click on the post and it will take you to that thread.

Are you suggesting, though, that you'd like to see the post # added to the information above?

From the search page, you can choose to show your results as posts vs. as threads.

yes. cause sometimes a thread can have thousands of posts, multiple pages and unless i'm doing something wrong, when i'm looking at a list of posts by a member and want to see what comes after the .........s, after i've clicked on it, i'm taken to the thread. and here maybe is where patience is a virtue...would i be taken directly to that post if i waited, instead of start scrolling...

but if no one else thinks this is a good idea, don't go to any trouble.

Newbie here. Would it be possible either via FAQ or re-arrangement of Threads to help locate the one for Newbies. I was so overwhelm or anxious or just plain dense that I had to stop in on the various of area I am interested in. Took awhile for me to scroll past the good stuff to the necessary areas for Newbies. As I feel very sad hearing we lost Sam (whoopIpoopedaplatypuss) --and her sister posting this info to the site--

I was wondering if we can have a thread or rather a RIP stamp put on her profile (and other members who pass down the path)

maybe some other way to identify valued members who we lose through death?

Olah, Mrs Mod... Hey, is there anyplace for us fans of King who make their own films or short films, or whatever art we happen to come up with?? I would be glad to post a short or two... Most are Horror based and will fit the site nicely

I have a suggestion now that the SKMB is running on vBulletin 4...

Use the advertising feature in the admin panel to put a banner ad at the top of the forum pages with some sort of a banner plugging the Haven Foundation and giving a direct link to the Stephen King store on Cafe Press.

Just a thought...
