    Got one!

Okay. I know how annoying and loud and obnoxious (I could go on, but that would only emphasize a simple point) I am, but here's a GREAT one!

In myspace, they don't count double spaces against your total. I can't even imagine how many times my post was 23 letters over the post count allowed, and when I went back, the first thing I started trimming (poor Mr. King, I feel for you sir) was my double spaces after the period.

Well, I was kinda paying attention on a myspace post I was making, and if it says, '43 characters left', and I do that double-space thing I like to do, it doesn't even register that there are two spaces. I can hit the space bar fifty times, and it KNOWS that the space bar is just going to be ignored after the initial CR13 press or whatever (forgive me, newcastles own me today), and therefore if I hit space 30 times, it still states '42 characters left'. I salute the myspace, through it's ultimate gayness, because it's machines (as evil as they are, such as in Terminator 1-4) understand that one space is the same exact thing on their 'board' as fifty spaces.

That's something I would be happy about if this site incorporated. Thanks for your time as always Jordan, and sorry again I'm such a loudmouth ****up. THANKS!!!

I look into it in the future, but it may require a rewrite of a fairly fundamental part of this software. I can't make any promises, and it will all depend on my workload.

Covered before, but I'll say it again: We won't be adding a chat feature to the board. Sorry.

Along the lines of the laughter button, how about like/dislike or agree/disagree buttons?

We're probably not going to add any more buttons beyond welcome and thanks, but we'll consider it for the future.

Re The category General Discussion & Questions
This forum is for general discussion of Stephen's work not related to a specific title.

There are quite a lot of posts started in General Discussion that belong in Chattery Teeth. Maybe the General Discussion topic name could be highlighted or expanded so it is more obvious that the subject is Stephen King in general. This would save someone (Ms Mod or Jordan) the work of moving them to another category. Sometimes I just want to hit on threads about Stephen King or his work and save the "chattery" stuff for later.

    Maybe change the heading to:
General Discussion & Questions of Stephen's work not related to a specific title.

One thing I would like to see on here is Boards for upcoming and in development movies. Like the upcoming Pet Semetary and It remakes or new ones like Cell or Bag of Bones. It would be great to see them get there own threads to discuss casting ideas or director choices or something like that.

    Thanks

This is not really a technical suggestion, more an editorial one. Lately there have been a lot of hot-topic, contentious threads/posts in Chattery Teeth, and it really seems to be affecting the emotional makeup of the SKMB (sorry to go all Dr. Phil on you, but it had to be done). So what if we had a forum that was specifically for those hot-button topics?

The Straight Dope MB has a similar setup; they call their forum Great Debates. I used to post there pretty frequently; it is a good MB, and the Great Debates forum kept that type of post segregated. Those of us in the mood to brandish our verbal swords could head over there, and those of us wanting easier fellowship stayed away. It worked out really well.

I've never seen a forum with so many hoops to jump through and restrictive rules.

"click here to join social group"

"must have 5 posts to join social group"

Ok, I've got 4 already. I'll just post something real quick.

Oh - can't post on weekends...

Now I'll try again during the week.

    "your post is awaiting moderation"

"click here to join social group"

"you must have 5 posts to join social group"

All I have to say is that this forum truly puts to the test your admiration of Stephen King. At what point does the frustrating nonsense end and the actual discussion begin?

I'm sorry that you find the board unsatisfying. The reasons for the restrictions are laid out in the FAQ.

it'd be nice to be able to post dancing pigs, like on the ole hee haw show. maybe you don't have anything to say, but you feel like kicking up your legs, anyway. so, if we had some dancing pigs, call em the skmb rockettes, wearing little tutus, pink, oh, and lipstick. anyone know how to do this?
