Would it be possible to somehow, please excuse my lack of knowledge on the matter, add sound to our public profile? You know,so whenever someone visits it ,listens to whatever the music youŽd choose.I know.Copyrights.But hey,I had to try.

Strictly speaking, it is possible, but there are many reasons why we won't be implementing sound into profile pages. A short list: copyright concerns, bandwidth, storage... and pages that play music at me irritate me greatly.

What about a photograph contest? I know some members are really skilled for it (I think there are even a few professional photographers),but what I suggest is something more modest. The only two conditions would be that the picture should be related to the S.K universe, and that the picture wouldnŽt need any sort of explanation for the rest of the members to catch the meaning of it.Example:a picture of a red-stained baseball cap.
There would be a poll to vote for the winning picture, and maybe you could send some goodies to the winner, you know, dvds,t-shirts,stuff like that.So what do you think?

We'll consider this suggestion, but if we do do anything of the sort, it won't be for quite some time. Feel free to set up your own photo contests, etc. within the forums, though.

I love the sound of that, I get a bit snap-happy myself sometimes. I'd definitely participate if I could get a theme set!

    My suggestion:

I'm a newbie round here so forgive me if this has been suggested or tried in the past. Since there are many avid collectors around here and equally curious new-starters to the round table of Mr. King's books I think a 'Classifieds' section would be great. No use of credit card details or any of that business, but a place where members can advertise either the sale of a book (preferably SK related but I suppose it could be a general thing, too) or the looking to purchase a book as a thread where they can state the book name, condition, edition, cover, asking price, e-mail to contact on etc.

I think it would work really well since I'm really starting to look for more SK books but I want the specific covers, you know, to add to the magic of it. Equally there could be collectors 'round here who are looking for a specific book they can't seem to get a hold of that another member is willing to part with, or if a newbie wants to get started then there are lots of copies of the popular novels around us guys.

    Just a thought, anyway.

In keeping with the rest of the site, we won't be adding a classified section. We prefer to keep the site commercial-free with no buying or selling of items.

I want to be notified when Mr. King publishes something new right away if possible.
I want to be notified if he is going to be interviewed so I can go read it or see it on television.
I think a lot of people have an interest in what his belief system is, I mean does he believe in ka?
I think it is like WOW, who is this guy who wrote that? What is he like? That is what we as fans think ya know?

There are services like this available, just not here on the SKMB. Jordan's explanation makes sense above.

If you are really interested in getting into buying and selling books, please send me a PM.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but, a thing similar to MSA or Yahoo messanger where you can have a conversation with friends online, instead of waiting for them to message you back on visitor- i thought it was a good idea, might be a bit hard to do though.

    Hi,

But given the fact that MSN and Messanger exist already anyway, and can be used simultaneously with the board now, would adding that facility to the MB not just be re-inventing the wheel?

Hi Jordan...have you gave anymore thought to possibly adding a laughter key?

There are so many posts on here which genuinely make me laugh out loud and instead of giving a thanks or posting a reply it would be so much easier to press a key, like the thanks or welcome. Either way, good job, i think the layout of the board is fab.

It would be great to have 'chat' section it the social groups (primarily SKT). Where you don't have to keep hitting the refresh key over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and overover and over and over over and over and overover and over and over over and over and over over and over and overover and over and over

HEAR HEAR! It would be SO much easier for everyone in SKT to play our trivia game (especially on Wed's) in a chat like setting. Real-Time-Like. I am praying this will someday come to fruition.
