Message Board Problem Resolution

Hi Jordan. I'm having a problem with needing to refresh the page after I log in, and also after viewing and posting on the MB. It only happens when we're using the Internet Explorer borwser. Any ideas?

Hmm... That is a problem. It must have broken when I did the last software upgrade to the board. I'll see what I can do to get it running, but it might not return until the middle of July.

Looks like the poster has a living avatar and I can still see them under my user CP Jordan, I didn't actually go in and test it but I do know that particular add is not being supported very well.

Hey, Jordan. What an MSNBotSpider, and why are they crawling all over the message board, reading our threads? It's giving me the heebie-jeebies. Look at Who's On-Line. Should they be there? Can you block them? Is it bad?
Anyone got any bug spray?

Jordan's on vacation for a couple weeks but this one I can handle. These, and the Google, Yahoo, etc. spiders are what might be called the "beneficial insects" (yes, I know technically spiders are arachnids not insects but gardeners will get my reference) of the cyber-world. They are the reason we're able to do browser searches can get millions of hits on a topic. They go through sites collecting the information on the public side (not to worry about these ones collecting private data as far as I know) and adding it to their data bases. This is one situation where we're okay with big brother watching over.

When I click on the little down arrow next to a thread that says "Go to first new post," I get to the last page but it doesn't scroll down to the first new post like it used to before the upgrade.
