I'd never read anything by him before I started to work for him. My first assignment was through a temp agency to type the manuscript for The Eyes of the Dragon. I did a good job and when he needed someone to work for him a couple years later, I was contacted to see if I would be interested. Obviously that was a yes. It will be 20 years on November 1st that I've been working for him.

Congratulations! Not a lot of people either enjoy their job enough or have the "stick-to-it-ness" to have and hold a "job" I'd say career in your case for that amount of time. That's really great, makes me want to find something I really love too.

    Hi,

Looks like a great excuse for a combined party then on the 1st.

Music from Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (It was twenty years ago today.....)

THAT was a very important little nexus of time (Ka?) for Ms Mod, Kim and mstay.

Anyone else? And what IS it for a 20th?

    Long days and pleasant nights

Why did you take the job though? Not the manuscript one, typing stuff up is simple enough, and a job is a job...

But if you don't even read the guys works, how'd you have any interest in him at all? Was it because he was such a big name, and you knew it would be a paycheck... I mean, you obviously like the guy and have an alliance with him that goes beyond your paycheck. Just one thing led to another, er...?

I like King because of his works. I feel a lot of what he's created, nobody will really care about in a hundred or so years, but that's why I like him so much. He's writing for me, and my generation, right now. And not many other authors really go in that direction.

Plus, I haven't ever read anything he's written or created that went against how I feel.

Ooooooo... that means you got to read Eyes of the Dragon before anyone else ever did. Lucky girl. :0)

Soooo, you just met the guy after doing a little work for him, and you two just had a symbiotic work relationship, and it built up from there?
